WWE legend Big Van Vader has died from heart complications

The wrestling world is mourning the loss of legendary wrestler, Big Van Vader.

Legendary wrestler Big Van Vader has died after a two-year battle with congestive heart failure. He was 63.


The former WWE star's death was announced by his son on Twitter Wednesday. 


"Around a month ago my father was diagnosed with a severe case of Pneumonia," Vader's son, wrestler Jesse Wright tweeted. "He fought extremely hard and clinically was making progress. Unfortunately, on Monday night his heart had enough and it was his time."

It is with a heavy heart to inform everyone that my father, Leon White, passed away on Monday night (6/18/18) at approximately 7:25pm.

Vader, whose real name is Leon White, was diagnosed with congestive heart failure in 2016 and previously revealed that he was given only two years to live. The former wrestler took to Twitter in April to tell fans that he was recovering well from open-heart surgery that he had in March.


"They had me but I KICKED out 2 The surgeon confessed he had A few to many thats why the scar is off center I OWE THAT MAN M LIFE THANK U JESUS," the wrestler joked on Twitter while showing off his scar.
