Meghan Markle is fitting in nicely with her future royal family.

The former Suits actress joined her fianc Prince Harry, future in-laws Prince William and Kate Middleton, and their grandmother Queen Elizabeth for the first time at an official public engagement on Monday as the royal family attended the Commonwealth Day service at Westminster Abbey.

Wearing an off-white coat and hat, the 36-year-old Markle was seated behind the queen and next to Princes Harry and Andrew during the ceremony.

She is already effectively being treated as a full-blown member of the royal family, even if she hasn't married Prince Harry yet. I think that gives you an indication of just how warmly she has been welcomed into the fold, but also effectively she is living as a member of the royal family.

The 91-year-old Queen, is head of the Commonwealth, a global network of 53 countries with more than two billion people. The annual Abbey service is the largest annual interfaith gathering in the U.K.

This year, the service included a performance by former One Direction singer Liam Payne as well as a reflection by Dr. Andrew Bastawrous.
