Former Olympic skiing star Bode Miller said he and his wife are "beyond devastated" by the loss of their 19-month-old daughter, Emeline. The toddler died in a drowning accident on Sunday.

The 40-year-old, who worked for NBC as an analyst during February's Winter Games in Pyeongchang, shared the tragic news on Instagram on Monday. The post was also shared by his wife, professional beach volleyball player Morgan Beck.

We are beyond devastated. Our baby girl, Emmy, passed away yesterday. Never in a million years did we think we would experience a pain like this. Her love, her light, her spirit will never be forgotten. Our little girl loved life and lived it to its fullest everyday. Our family respectfully requests privacy during this painful time.
