Kristen Bell reigns supreme when it comes to revealing hilarious stories about her family.

The 37-year-old actress was a guest on Sunday's episode of The Joel McHale Show with Joel McHale and recounted a recent battle with "anal worms" - seriously; she contracted anal worms.

"I did have anal worms two weeks ago I swear to God," Bell told McHale. "They're called pinworms. My kids had them."

I know, shes really gross. My daughter, not the worm. The worm was gross, too.

Without missing a beat, McHale asked, "Was it painful?"

"No, but it was very itchy," the mother of two explained. "I'm not here to talk about pinworms, but I will. Fifty percent of people over 15 don't experience symptoms, which is the itch. Your kids get them because they put their hands in their mouth and they lay eggs."

When Bell showed up at her daughters' preschool and noticed all the carpets had been removed from the classroom. She soon learned they were being cleaned because of a pinworm outbreak.

"Of course, I immediately Googled it, and it's like so, so contagious," the Bad Moms star said. She began to notice that her 3-year-old daughter Delta had started scratching. Yes, down there.

"You have to monitor, and you have to look in their poop," Bell said. "And when you wipe their butt, sure enough - I wiped and saw a little white worm. I know, shes really gross. My daughter, not the worm. The worm was gross, too."

It didn't take long for the actress to start itching as well, which resulted in the whole family, husband Dax Shepard and their eldest daughters Lincoln, 4,  having to take an over-the-counter treatment.

"We all did it, but I dont think anyone got it but me and Delta, Bell said before reaching out to give McHale for an enthusiastic handshake.

"Good to be here, Joel!" she said with a laugh.
