Anthony Bourdain's longtime girlfriend, Asia Argento, issued a statement about the celebrity chef's tragic death.

Asia Argento has spoken out about the untimely death of her longtime boyfriend, Anthony Bourdain.

 

CNN reported that Bourdain committed suicide at 61 years old.

 

The celebrity chef was in France working on his CNN series, Parts Unknown, he was found unresponsive in his hotel room by his friend Eric Ripert on Friday morning.

Anthony gave all of himself in everything that he did. His brilliant, fearless spirit touched and inspired so many, and his generosity knew no bounds.

Argento tweeted, "Anthony gave all of himself in everything that he did. His brilliant, fearless spirit touched and inspired so many, and his generosity knew no bounds. He was my love, my rock, my protector. I am beyond devastated. My thoughts are with his family. I would ask that you respect their privacy and mine."

 

The two met on an episode of his show in Rome.

 

She wrote on Instagram, "Thank you @anthonybourdain for showing the world the real eternal city."

 

He later wrote, "The episode would not have been possibleor be anything like it is without the truly magnificent Asia Argento."
