Anthony Bourdain's remains have already been cremated in France less than a week after his tragic death.

It's been less than a week after celebrity chef Anthony Bourdain's tragic suicide, and he has already been cremated. His family asks for their privacy during this hard time.

 

The Parts Unknown star was cremated in France and his ashes will be flown back to the United States, according to People.

 

A spokesperson for CNN said, "It is with extraordinary sadness we can confirm the death of our friend and colleague, Anthony Bourdain. His love of great adventure, new friends, fine food and drink and the remarkable stories of the world made him a unique storyteller."

Our little girl had her concert today. She was amazing. So strong and brave. She wore the boots you bought her. I hope you are having a good trip, wherever you are.

They added, "His talents never ceased to amaze us and we will miss him very much. Our thoughts and prayers are with his daughter and family at this incredibly difficult time."

 

Tributes for the TV star have been pouring in nonstop, while his ex-wife Ottavia Busia shared on Instagram a photo of their daughter, and shared a heartbreaking message.

 

"Our little girl had her concert today," Busia wrote. "She was amazing. So strong and brave. She wore the boots you bought her. I hope you are having a good trip, wherever you are."

Bourdain's mother Gladys told The New York Times, "He had everything. Success beyond his wildest dreams. Money beyond his wildest dreams. He is absolutely the last person in the world I would have ever dreamed would do something like this."

 

Bourdain was filming an episode of Parts Unknown in France at the time of his death.
