And the crowd goes wild... literally. Late in the fourth quarter of a game between Monessen High School and Clairton High School on Wednesday night, players exchanged punches near the Monessen bench in Pittsburgh.

From there, an all-out brawl erupted and within seconds the stands emptied, and everyone seemed to be getting in on the chaotic fight.

We take this extremely serious and we will be conducting an internal investigation as well as 100 percent cooperating with the authorities and the WPIAL.

An estimated 60 people were involved in before cops shut it down, reports say. With the videos, it isn't clear on what started the big fight. Firefighters were called to the arena to help ventilate after police used pepper spray to break up the brawl and the game was called off with 4:24 left in the fourth and Monessen up, 54-45.

Clairton City School District spokeswoman Alexis Trubiani said the fight was under investigation by school officials.

"We take this extremely serious and we will be conducting an internal investigation as well as 100 percent cooperating with the authorities and the WPIAL," Trubiani said in a statement. "We are saddened by the incident and remind all those that attend any sporting event (adult and child) that violence will never be the answer."
