Even though Villanova just smashed through six teams on the way to the 2018 national championship their second in three years it's Duke who opens as the odds-on favorite to the national championship in 2019, per Bleacher Report, with 6-1 odds according to Oddshark.

Westgate SuperBook in Las Vegas also released updated national championship odds for next season, per Yahoo! Sports. Villanova is tied for the second-best odds, listed at 8-1 alongside Kansas and Kentucky.

Duke is listed as 5-1 favorites.

The Blue Devils, who lost 85-81 to Kansas in the Elite Eight, had their odds significantly bolstered by the fact that they have one of the greatest freshman classes in the last 10 years arriving at Durham.

R.J. Barrett, Cameron Reddish, Zion Williamson and Tre Jones are all committed. Barrett, Reddish and Williamson are rated as the consensus top three 2018 prospects in the country. Jones isn't far behind, coming in at No. 8 by Rivals, and No. 12 by ESPN.

I don't think anybody runs recruiting because there's so many good players.
