Ex-NBA player Rasual Butler and wife killed in horrific car crash

Former NBA player Rasual Butler and his wife were both killed in a single car crash in Studio City, CA early Wednesday morning, according to a new report.

Former Washington Wizards player Rasual Butler and his wife were killed in a car crash in Southern California on Wednesday, according to TMZ.

 

The 38-year-old Butler reportedly lost control of his Range Rover around 2 AM, struck a parking meter and slammed into a wall and the vehicle then flipped. His wife, Leah LaBelle was also in the car and was killed.

LaBelle was an R&B singer who was signed to Epic Records. She placed 12th on the 3rd Season of "American Idol" back in 2004. Her husband, a Philadelphia native, was drafted by the Miami Heat in 2002 and played for the Wizards between 2014 and 2015. His last season in the NBA was in 2016.

 

Butler most recently played in Ice Cube's BIG3 league.
