Joel Embiid rips Hassan Whiteside for his dirty play

Though the Miami center cleanly took the win and outplayed the Sixers big man, Embiid was less than thrilled with Whiteside's rough play.

Stemming from the rough play in the Miami Heat's 108-99 win over the Philadelphia 76ers, center Joel Embiid declared the second-half shove in his back from Miami center Hassan Whiteside "dirty" play and said he wouldnt forget about it.

The rivals were charged with double fouls, but Whiteside picked up a technical in the third quarter of Miami's eventual win, while in the midst of a minor scuffle with Embiid - where he appears to hit himself.

Jessica Camerato of NBC Sports Philadelphia caught some of Embiid's comments following the game.

Looking at the replay it looked like I didnt touch him. Then they called a double foul. Tried hit me in the back, which is kind of dirty because of the fact that Ive had back problems. So were going to see about that. I wont forget about that.

"But I didnt think I touched him. But then they called a technical foul on him because obviously, hes the one that made a dirty play," he continued.

Whiteside outplayed Embiid, even cooking the Sixer center with a nasty facial that drew hilarious comments.

The Heat center scored 26 points on 9 of 12 shooting, with seven rebounds and two blocks. Embiid went for 17 points on 5 of 18 shooting, with seven boards and zero blocks.
