Cavs' Rodney Hood refused to enter game with 7 mins left and his teammates aren’t happy

Hood's actions are inexplicable and selfish, given any game-time action could give him a rhythm heading into a likely matchup with the Boston Celtics.

In the series-sealing blowout victory in Game 4 over the Toronto Raptors on Monday night in the Eastern Conference Semifinals, one player didn't get any game action and it was apparently his choice.

Guard/forward Rodney Hood refused to go in when Cleveland coach Tyronn Lue attempted to substitute Hood in for LeBron James with a 30-point lead with seven minutes, 38 seconds to play, according to Bleacher Report.

The move upset his teammates and staff. GM Koby Altman is expected to speak with Hood about his refusal to enter the game.

This is the playoffs. We're trying to win a championship. This isn't about you.

Hood's actions are inexplicable and selfish, given any game-time action could give him a rhythm heading into a likely matchup with the Boston Celtics. His length and shooting would prove valuable against teams with other similar players.

However, it appears his moodiness has travelled with him from Utah, which is partly why he was willingly traded to Cleveland.

In 10 games this postseason, Hood is averaging 4.6 points on 39.6 percent shooting and just 13.3 percent from three.
