Cleveland Cavaliers forward LeBron James says he was ready for action, even before the big moves at the trade deadline.

"Before the deadline happened, before the trades happened, I re-focused myself to understand that I'm the leader of this team and I have to be mentally sharp and mentally strong throughout anything," he said, per ESPN's Dave McMenamin. "Even before the trade, I planned on us having that team for the rest of the season."

It showed in a home matchup ahead of the deadline, with an explosive triple-double in a big win over the Minnesota Timberwolves.

While James played well throughout the game, the rest of the Cavs went 0-10 from the field in the last 9:30 of the last stanza.

Cleveland will have an opportunity to get back in rhythm with a game Friday night against the lowly Memphis Grizzlies.
