IT sends message to Cavs fans

Thomas (and former Celtic teammate Jae Crowder) weren't at all popular in the locker room, but the new Laker had positive words for Cavs fans.

Brand new Los Angeles Lakers guard Isaiah Thomas had a tumultuous go-round with Cleveland but has a positive message for Cavaliers fans.

Thomas was traded just ahead of the trade deadline to the Lakers, along with Channing Frye and a top-3 protected first-round pick in exchange for guard Jordan Clarkson and forward Larry Nance Jr.

It was only 15 games, but still an experience that Im grateful for. Thank you to the Cleveland Cavaliers organization for granting me the opportunity to rock the wine and gold this season. God bless and see you on the other side.

Guard, Los Angeles Lakers

Thomas missed the first two months of the season with a hip injury, and never got back to the level of his two previous All-Star seasons in Boston.

He played in 15 games, scoring 14.7 points per game while shooting less than 40 percent overall from the field and playing the league's worst defense.

Thomas was becoming something of a locker room cancer - calling out Kevin Love for his perceived transgressions - though he hadn't played well in his return.
