LeBron James, Stephen Curry select All-Star teams

The Cleveland Cavaliers superstar was coy about who he selected for the first pick, but Kevin Durant informed the basketball world what it already knew.

LeBron James and Stephen Curry made their picks for their teams for NBA All-Star Game on Thursday, in a draft completed over a call with the NBA offices, in its new glorified "shirts and skins" design.

James selected Kevin Durant and Boston Celtics guard/ex-teammate Kyrie Irving for his team.

James' selection of Irving is remarkable in part because Irving requested a trade from the Cavaliers over the summer - apparently even threatening surgery to ensure he was dealt, per a recent report.

Well, finally someone picked me No. 1. That feels pretty good. It's going to be fun competing against [teammates] Steph, Klay, and Draymond.

James and Curry were named All-Star captains after leading their respective conferences in voting. Players already selected starters were selected first, with coach-chosen reserves coming after.

Here's the complete All-Star draft, per ESPN with starters denoted with asterisks:
