Monday night, the Lakers fans held their breath after hearing that the #2 overall pick in the NBA draft, Lonzo Ball, was injured while playing the Nuggets. Although the injury was proclaimed as a minor ankle sprain, the training staff will be in no rush to clear Ball for action.
After winning the summer league MVP, Ball has had a slow start in pre-season play after two games. The injury came after Ball went up for a block in the second half. Although Ball had to be pulled from the game, he came back to start the second half.
Ball has a lot of work to do to live up to the hype, and is definitely how he wanted to start his career. Ball missed practice on Tuesday, and his status for the Lakers rematch vs. Denver is still questionable.
