According to ESPN’s Dave McMenamin, Lebron James rolled his ankle in practice and has been listed as day-to-day after X-ray results came back negative. James hurt his left ankle and did not participate in practice today. Although it is not too alarming, it will be something to keep an eye on heading in to the season as ankle injurys have the tendency to be recurring issue.
The news comes only days after the Cavs announced that Dwyane Wade has signed with the team, and will once again be wreaking havoc on the Eastern Conference. Last year, Lebron averaged 26.4 points, 8.6 rebounds and 8.7 assists per game with both his rebound and assist numbers being career highs.
Cleveland believes in my talents and what I can bring to a championship contender both as a player and leader. I look forward to reuniting and playing alongside my brother LeBron. We’ve already won two championships together and I hope we get a third.
SF, Cleveland Cavaliers
Throughout his 14 year career, Lebron has been very durable missing little time due to injury. With the veteran turning 33 this year, stamina and durability will become a bigger issue for Lebron with the demanding minute count he plays.
