Johnny Manziel's "Comeback SZN" took a non-football related turn, when he was hospitalized in Texas on Monday night over a medication mishap, according to the New York Post.

Manziel, for his part, did confirm the hospitalization and admitted it was the result of a reaction to a raised dosage of lithium taken for his bipolar disorder.

It was a scary moment and Im especially grateful for the staff at the hospital and all that theyve done in the last 24 hours.

Manziel was taking a break in Humble, Texas, for JMBLYA, a music festival, and a golf tournament hosted by former Texas A&M teammate Mike Evans.

It must be noted that this event comes behind the Dallas Police revealing the entire Manziel domestic violence case file from 2016, including witness and victim statements, and photos of the victim's injuries which was then shown on TMZ Live.
