Glen 'Big Baby' Davis faces up to 7 years in prison on felony assault charge

The 32-year-old was charged Tuesday (June 5) with felony assault using force likely to produce bodily injury.

Former NBA player Glen "Big Baby" Davis will be arraigned Thursday (June 7) for a felony assault charge originating from an April 8 altercation outside the West Hollywood nightclub Penthouse, a spokesman for the Los Angeles District Attorney's Office said Wednesday.

 

The 32-year-old was charged Tuesday with felony assault using force likely to produce bodily injury, spokesperson Ricardo Santiago said. 

 

The complainant, 27-year-old Daniel Diaz, alleges he suffered significant bodily injury.

Davis played for the Boston Celtics, Orlando Magic and LA Clippers from 2007 to 2015. He won the NBA title in 2008 in Boston.

 

He was slated to play in the BIG3 league this summer.

 

Davis also was arrested in February at a Hampton Inn in Aberdeen, Maryland, on drug possession and distribution charges. Police said they found 126 grams of marijuana and a briefcase containing $92,000 in cash inside Davis' room.
