Gary Harris’ deal includes $74 million guaranteed with the remaining $10 million comprised of team and individual bonus clauses. Harris’ agents Austin Brown and Aaron Mintz completed the deal Saturday with Denver president of basketball operations Tim Connelly.
The deal take effect next summer and will make Harris Denver’s second highest paid player behind PF Paul MIlsap who signed a $90 million three year deal earlier this off-season.
Harris’ contract extension followed the best season of his young career; averaging 14.9 points per game with 42% shooting from the three, 8th in the league. The new contract ranks in the top 10 in salary for shooting guards in 2018-19 with the likes of James Harden, DeMar DeRozan, and Klay Thompson.
