Kobe Bryant's trophy collection didn't end when he retired in 2016: it just keeps on getting bigger.

The former Los Angeles Lakers superstar's animated short film, Dear Basketball, won a Sports Emmy Award on Tuesday night for Outstanding Post-Produced Graphic Design.

The new trophy comes just two months after he won an Oscar for Best Animated Short Film at the Academy Awards in March.

A lot of parents, coaches, brothers and sisters come up to me and say that they've watched Dear Basketball over and over and over and over and over as a tool of inspiration for their own personal lives.

"As basketball players, we're really supposed to shut up and dribble," Bryant said at the time when he accepted the Oscar on stage. "I'm glad we do a little bit more than that."

Narrated by Bryant, Dear Basketball comes from a poem he wrote that was published in The Players' Tribune back in 2015 when he announced his retirement.
